BArT Announces First Trimester Honor Roll

ADAMS, Mass. — Berkshire Arts & Technology Charter Public School has announced the students who made honor roll for the first trimester of the 2014-2015 school year.  

Students who earned 80 percent or above in all of their classes received the distinction of "Honors." Students who earned 90 percent or above in all of their classes received the distinction of "High Honors."

Academic courses at BART are aligned with the Massachusetts State Curriculum Frameworks for the appropriate grade level and include all standards deemed necessary for a complete, college-preparatory, middle and high school education.

Students in Grade 6 who earned High Honors are: Fransisco Alicandri, Katarina Andreola, Troy Dean, Lindsey Gwilt, Kyle Gwilt, Katherine Kerwood, Meghan Laurin, Cassius Moody, and Charles Waltermire.  

Students in Grade 6 who earned Honors are: Owen Brady, Miranda-Ann Grant, Elizabeth Hammond, Olivia Jayko, Cameron Langsdale, Hannah LeVardi-Earle, Raymond Pixley, Sanaia Saintil, Sawyer Smith, Paige Whitney, and Paige Wright.

Students in Grade 7 who earned High Honors are: Ashley Benoit, Natalie Ellis, Miles Fippinger, Kylie Taylor, Alice Tibbetts, and Philip Williams.  

Students in Grade 7 who earned Honors are: Alyssa Anderson, Isabella Artioli, Liam Brady, Troy Brainerd, Ethan Coe, Kendra Delph, Eduardo Dominguez Ahuati, Joy Kalinowsky, Grace Krzanik, Holden LaRocque, Ryleigh McGovern, Dinari Murdaugh, Gianna Parise, William Peets, Finley Root, and Sean Salinovici

Students in Grade 8 who earned High Honors are: Isaiah Albright, Vincienza Alicandri, Natalie Celebi, Cortney DeVito, Macie Fitch, Byonte Jones, and Caitlin Terpak.  

Students in Grade 8 who earned Honors are: Benjamin Bergeron, Mitchell Clayton, Jessica Doubiago, Joshua Doubiago, Trinity Kickery, Rylie Krutiak, Johnyce Lanphear-Dyer, Darrel Lynch, Zachary Mahan, Steven Pasqua, Braydon Peterson, Kainat Raza, Riley Rivard, Olivia Shaw, and Hannah Stringer.



Students in Grade 9 who earned High Honors are: Kyle Brooks, Hayley Caufield, Trinity Peets, Heather Perkins, Kyle Rolland, Emily Taylor, and Harrison Todd.  

Students in Grade 9 who earned Honors are: Kailey Benoit, Mark Borelli II, Xaida Brazeau, Rena-Marie Clairmont, MaiLee Daignault, Ari Drayman, Timothy Durocher, Tatiyana Falwell, Gabrielle Fruet, Andrew Kerwood, Jordan LeSage, Chase MacPherson, Ashlyn Marcil, Kimberly Perkins, Raegan Phillips, Pamela Pixley, Amber Pizani, Caelin Rod, Jamie Vachula, and Ryan Wood.

Students in Grade 10 who earned High Honors are: Tessa Langsdale and Alain Morrissette.

In Grade 11, Noah Chicoine earned High Honors.  

Students in Grade 11 who earned Honors are: Chiquita Behanzin, Lauren Cornell, Raja King, Anthony Monteleone, Zainab Raza, and Epiphany Thomas.

In Grade 12, Dylan Quinn earned High Honors.  

Students in Grade 12 who earned Honors are: Tyler Deschaine, Ciera Dowling, Jeannette Lambert, Olivia Schultz-Falandes and Lauren Shamburger.

Adams Community Bank Holds Annual Meeting, Announce Growth

ADAMS, Mass. — The annual meeting of the Community Bancorp of the Berkshires, MHC, the parent company of Adams Community Bank, was held on April 10, 2024, at Charles H. McCann Technical School in North Adams.
 
The meeting included reviewing the 2023 financial statements for the Bank, electing directors and corporators, and highlighting upcoming executive personnel changes.
 
"In 2023, the Bank experienced another year of growth in assets, loans, and deposits, noting the Pittsfield branch reached $26 million in customer deposits from its opening in December of 2022," President and CEO of Adams Community Bank Charles O'Brien said. "Those deposits were loaned out locally during 2023 and helped drive our #1 ranking in both mortgage and commercial real estate lending, according to Banker and Tradesman."
 
At year-end 2023, total assets were $995 million, and O'Brien noted the Bank crossed the $1 billion threshold during the first quarter of 2024.
 
Board chair Jeffrey Grandchamp noted with O'Brien's upcoming retirement, this will be the final annual meeting of the CEO's tenure since he joined the Bank in 1997. He thanked him for his 27 years of dedication to the Bank. He acknowledged the evolution of the Bank as it became the premier community bank in the Berkshires, noting that branches grew from 3 to 10, that employees grew from 40 to 135, and that assets grew from $127 million to $1 billion. 
 
An executive search is underway for O'Brien's replacement.
