NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Joe Dudek went 2-for-4 a pair of doubles and three RBIs to lead the Vermont Mountaineers to an 8-1 win over the North Adams SteepleCats on Sunday evening.
Logan Boyher went 1-for-3 with an RBI for North Adams (7-6), which led, 1-0, going into the fifth inning.
Starter Matthew Kostalos took the loss the mound. Hoosac Valley grad Tanner Bird pitched a scoreless ninth inning in relief, lowering his earned run average to 3.86 in seven games this season.
North Adams travels to Sanford Maine on Monday.
