ADAMS, Mass. -- Teams are wanted to participate in the 10th annual Frank A. Zoltek Memorial Golf Tournament.
The event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 4, at Forest Park Country Club.
The four-person teams will head out in two shotgun starts, at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The event will feature a hole-in-one contest sponsored by K&M Motors and motivate with the annual "Frankie" awards dinner.
This year's winners Frankie Award for Passion in Coaching are Ron Wojcik and Paul "Tito" Sniezek.
Ron Wojcik has been the girls basketball coach at Hoosac Valley since 2011, leading the Hurricanes to five league titles, four Western Mass Championships and three appearances in the state championship game.
Prior to that, he was an assistant boys basketball coach at Taconic and Lenox and the head boys coach at Pittsfield, leading the Generals to four Western Mass semi-finals and two Western Mass finals.
Sniezek is an assistant baseball coach at MCLA and longtime coach in Adams and Cheshire.
He was a junior varsity baseball coach (1994-2015) and softball coach (1991-93) at Hoosac Valley and a middle school girls basketball coach at Adams Memorial Middle School. He has coached youth sports as a volunteer at various levels since 1976.
The cost for the event is $70 per person. For $50, you can play golf with a cart and enjoy lunch. For $20, you can register for the awards dinner only.
