New Urologist Joins Southwestern Vermont Medical Center
BENNINGTON, Vt. — Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and Dr. Anthony Donaldson have announced that Dr. Andrew Cowder has joined Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Medical Group and SVMC Urology. The two will practice in Suite 100 of the Medical Office Building at 140 Hospital Drive in Bennington.
"Dr. Donaldson and I have worked in close cooperation with one another and have shared an office space for the past several years," Cowder said. "The move to join Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Physicians will relate to greater efficiency. For patients, it will be the same location, physicians, and staff."
Dr. Cowder has served on the SVMC medical staff since 2002 and has operated a successful private practice, Monument Urology, since 2004.
"I am pleased that Dr. Cowder has decided to join the prestigious group of providers at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Medical Group," Donaldson said. "We have always worked well together as a team, and this move will enhance our partnership."
Cowder received his medical degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Stony Brook. He completed residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. He holds two bachelor's degrees in applied physics and liberal arts, both from Columbia University in New York City. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association.
Donaldson received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School and his undergraduate education from Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. He completed a residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon, N.H. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association.
