Two Vie For Open Cheshire Selectmen's Seat
CHESHIRE, Mass. — There will be a race for the Board of Selectmen in Cheshire this year as two people will vie for a three-year term.
Incumbent Robert Ciskowski, currently chairman, will defend his seat against challenger Mark Biagini, who is the only other resident who returned papers.
Many elected offices will just be left open: for instance, no one returned papers to run as Cheshire representative on the Adams Cheshire Regional School District. That post is being vacated by Darlene Rodowicz.
The only other race on the ballot will be to finish a one-year unexpired term for town constable. The candidates are Andrew Kachel and Robert Copeland.
There are a few newcomers this year, with Anne Marie Furey running for a seat on the Cemetery Commission unopposed and Nicholas Graham running for Planning Board unopposed.
Other open seats will be left open or filled by incumbents unopposed.
