A Conversation With Author Anita Diamant

LENOX, Mass. — On Tuesday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m., the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will host an evening with best-selling author Anita Diamant on the themes of women's empowerment and social justice.
 
This in-person program will take place at the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre at Shakespeare & Company, 70 Kemble Street in Lenox.
 
This event coincides with the Federation's annual Dignity Drive of personal care products, which last year collected thousands of period and incontinence supplies. Diamant's latest book, Period. End of Sentence., explores issues surrounding the effort to combat feminine hygiene poverty
 
A selection of books will be available for purchase/ Attendees can also bring their own book for Anita Diamant to sign.
 
This event is open to Federation donors who make a household commitment of $36 or more to the Federation's Annual Campaign. Seating is limited. Registration is required, and cancellations will be appreciated if attendees can no longer attend.
 
Proof of full COVID vaccination is required for entry. Masking is required, as well.

Ventfort Hall Hosting Victorian Tea

LENOX, Mass. — The Gilded Age mansion at Ventfort Hall will host a Mother's Day Tea on Sunday May 12 from noon to 1 pm.
 
Tea will be served in the dining room and will include an assortment of savories and pastries accompanied by a traditional black tea and the mansions special Harney & Sons Cherry Blossom Green Tea. The proceeds from this event help the mansion's fund their mission of restoring the mansion.
