Ventfort Hall Receives Grants from Massachusetts Cultural Council

LENOX, Mass. - Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum has received two grants from the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, through its Cultural Sector Recovery Grants for Organizational Program for $34,640 and its Festivals and Projects Program for $2500.
 
"Ventfort Hall is a deserving recipient of the Massachusetts Cultural Council grants," State representative Smitty Pignatelli said. "They are dedicated to preserving Gilded Age history and play an active role in contributing to the rich, cultural tapestry of the Berkshires."
 
Mass Cultural Council has a budget of $15.7 million, including an appropriation of nearly $14 million from the state of Massachusetts and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and other sources. The agency also runs the Mass Cultural Facilities Fund in partnership with MassDevelopment.

Its mission is to promote excellence, education, access and diversity in the arts, humanities and sciences, to improve the quality of life for all Massachusetts residents and contribute to the vitality of our communities and economy.

Ventfort Hall Hosting Victorian Tea

LENOX, Mass. — The Gilded Age mansion at Ventfort Hall will host a Mother's Day Tea on Sunday May 12 from noon to 1 pm.
 
Tea will be served in the dining room and will include an assortment of savories and pastries accompanied by a traditional black tea and the mansions special Harney & Sons Cherry Blossom Green Tea. The proceeds from this event help the mansion's fund their mission of restoring the mansion.
