BArT Theatre Presents 'The Addams Family: A Musical Comedy'
ADAMS, Mass. — BArT Theatre announced its spring musical production of "The Addams Family" at BArT Charter Public School.
The show will run on Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 17 at 7:00 pm, with a matinee performance on Saturday, May 18 at 4:00 pm.
The school will present this show at the Adams Theater, located at 27 Park Street in Adams.
According to a press release:
"The Addams Family" is a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family–a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before–keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s "normal" boyfriend and his parents.
"The Addams Family" was written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice with music and lyrics by Andrew Lipp. Alexia Trainor directs this production with musical direction by James Bergin and choreography by Malia'Kekia Nicolini. This production was made possible with the support of the Massachusetts Cultural Council and STARS grants.

That wasn't all, of course, as she was applauded for her 30 years overseeing the town's elections and vital records. There were plenty of hugs and some tears for a closing out of her long career.
