Priscilla E. Pelliciotti, 80
GREAT BARRINGTON — Priscilla Eunice Pelliciotti, 80, of Prospect Street, Housatonic died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at home under hospice care, surrounded by her immediate family.Born in Housatonic on April 6, 1928, daughter of Postmaster John S. Burnett and Isabelle Gammie Burnett, she graduated from the former Searles High School and from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She summered in Housatonic and eventually retired to the house in which she had been raised.
A homemaker, Mrs. Pelliciotti had first worked in a medical office in New York City. She and her husband, Robert Pelliciotti, resided in various places, including Concord and King of Prussia, Pa., as he pursued his career in the aerospace industry.
Throughout her life she was active in many groups, notably Housatonic Congregational Church, where she was a lifelong member, and Berkshire Botanical Garden. She had a passionate interest in wildflowers, sea shells, astronomy and a variety of arts and crafts. A talented amateur illustrator, her Christmas, birthday and special-event cards were always handmade, usually with delicate watercolor images of favorite local floral specimens.
She leaves her husband, whom she married in Housatonic Congregational Church in 1955; two daughters, Claudia Pelliciotti of Stoughton and Gratia Freimarck and her husband, George, of Glen Ridge, N.J.; two sons, Robert Pelliciotti of Housatonic and John Roger Pelliciotti and his wife, Susan Isenberg, of London, and four grandchildren, Olivia and Averyl Freimarck of Glen Ridge and Jack and William Burnett Pelliciotti of London.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A celebration of Mrs. Pelliciotti's life will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. at Housatonic Congregational Church. All are invited to share in her remembrance.
