Cecelia L. Guertin, 90
POWNAL, Vt. — Cecelia Lorraine (Lampman) Turgeon Guertin, 90, formerly of Pownal, Vt., died on Tuesday October 2, 2018, in Vero Beach, Fla.
She was born in Willimansett, Mass., on February 5, 1928 a daughter to the late Earl E. and Isabelle M. (Chenaille) Lampman. She attended schools in Pownal, Vt. Cecelia moved to Williamstown in 1951 and assisted her husband in the operation of Pines Lodge Park, where in 1991 retired.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown and a former member and past president of Le Cercle Francais. She was a member of the Pownal Senior Citizens.
Cecelia married her first husband, Edward Turgeon, on May 26, 1951. He died in 1991.
She leaves her husband, Peter R. Guertin, whom she married on January 6, 2001, in Williamstown, Mass.; a daughter, Lorraine Turgeon Barnoski and her husband Robert of North Granby, Conn., two sons, Jon Edward Turgeon and his wife, Elizabeth, of Savannah, Ga., and James Earl Turgeon and his wife, Judith, of Williamstown; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Ramona Turgeon, and her husband William of North Carolina; her step-children, Deborah and her husband Harry Rottenberg, Donna and her husband Dana Sherril, and Diana and her husband David Poole; eight step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grandnephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother, Norman E. Lampman.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Cecelia Guertin will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Sts Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours are on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice House-Vero Beach or to Pop Cares in care of the funeral home.
