JoAnn Gelheiser, 74
ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. JoAnn M. (Dean) Gelheiser, 74, of Adams, died on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at North Adams Commons.
She was born in Adams on March 5, 1945, daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Richards) Dean. She attended schools in Adams.
JoAnn last worked as a nurse’s aide for BFAIR until her retirement.
She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II, Adams. She loved cooking and gardening and enjoyed playing cards and taking trips to the casino.
She is survived by her husband, James “Jigs” Gelheiser; three sons, Jeffrey Bissaillon and his wife Lorrie of Pittsfield, Joseph Bissaillon and his wife Ann of Adams and Bruce Bissaillon of Texas; one step daughter, Debbie Bohls of Texas; one brother, James Dean of North Adams; two granddaughters, Brittney and Ashley Bissaillon; two step granddaughters, Amanda Waschak and Heather Choquette; three step great grandchildren, Destiny, Michaela and Brenden; and by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph R. Dean, Jr., John Dean and William Dean.
Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
