Lucy Ann Britton, 62

MILL RIVER, Mass. — Lucy Ann Wuori Britton of Mill River, Mass., died peacefully Wednesday, June 17, 2020, surrounded by her family at Berkshire Medical Center after a strong-fought battle with cancer. 

Lucy leaves behind her loving husband of 37 years, Michael Britton; daughter Laurie Britton and her fiancé Sean Whitney; daughter Janet Britton and her pets Dudley and Zee; her half sister Janet Wuori of Arizona; sisters-in-law Sheila Bouquet, Barbara Britton, Pat Boulais and Ruth Wuori; and a nephew, Bob Bouquet. 

Lucy was widely known and loved through the healthcare, emergency services and emergency preparedness communities throughout Western Massachusetts. She was involved in numerous groups that include the Josh Billings Race Committee, Berkshire County Community Response Team and Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. 

Funeral notice: Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 25, 2020, from 3 to 7 p.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington.
