Karin Morandi, 78

Karin A. Morandi, 78, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died on Feb. 8, 2021, at JFK Medical Center in Florida.

She was born in Bennington, Vt. on March 29, 1942, the daughter of C. Allen and Mildred (Anderson) Miller. She attended local schools and graduated from the former Bennington High School. She was an accomplished dancer in her younger years.

Karin is survived by her husband, Francis R. Morandi; her son Kenneth Laughlin of Cheshire, her daughter Kristin Bona and husband Thomas of Clarksburg; and her beloved grandchildren Miranda Bona, Alexandra Bona, and Jenna Laughlin who lovingly knew her as Grammie.

Creativity was one of Karin's gifts, as she spent countless hours crafting items for her grandchildren which included scrapbooks, holiday dresses, and Halloween costumes. She loved reading, spending time at the beach, and most of all, visiting with her family.

In her earlier years, Karin worked at the Dickory Dock Toy Store and General Photo Products.

She went on to spend many years as a sales associate at JCPenney Co., initially in North Adams and later in West Palm Beach.

Karin was predeceased by her son Keith W. Laughlin and her brother, Peter A. Miller.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6th at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church in North Adams, Mass. where the life of this wonderful woman will be celebrated.

In Karin's memory, donations can be made to the Angel of Hope Children's Memorial Park in North Adams, Mass. a place of solace for parents who have lost children. Her family asks that you make a thoughtful gesture to someone today in her memory, as Karin was recognized as someone who always put others before herself. She had a unique ability to make others feel special and found tremendous joy in doing so.

Kris and family, I am so sorry about the passing of your Mother. She was a beautiful and friendly woman. She no longer has any pain or sorrow and is with your brother! God bless all of you, watch for heavenly signs, until you meet again. I can’t thank you enough for donating your Mom’s Mom’s gifts to the Angel Of Hope Park! You have been a great supporter of it from the beginning and I truly appreciate it. Major repairs and planting have to be done this year and I thank you for your kindness and generosity in your Mom’s honor. ❤️🙏🏼
