Bernice J. Trzcinski, 96
ADAMS, Mass. —
With a heavy heart we announce the death of our mother, Bernice June Trzcinski, who was born on July 24, 1924 to the late Jembert and Jenny Christie Richardson. Bernice left this world on April 13, 2021. It was her wish to pass at her home in which she has lived for the past sixty-three years. Bernice was cared for by her children with endless love, dignity and kindness. Bernice was a lifelong resident of Adams. She attended schools in Adams, graduating from Adams Memorial High School in 1942. She was employed at General Electric in Pittsfield, retiring in 1989 after twenty-one years of employment.
Bernice married her husband, Bruno J. Trzcinski, on June 12, 1948 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Adams. Bernice converted to Catholicism prior to her marriage. Her faith was very important to her. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church for nearly seventy-three years. Bernice and Bruno had six children, Patricia (Elio Forte), Bruno (Nancy Trzcinski), Karen (Phillip White), Franklin (Patti Trzcinski), John (Maria Trzcinski), and Bonnie (Donald Pero). Bernice’s grandchildren include Anthony Forte, Angelo Forte, Jessica White, Phillip White, Kristin O’Brien, Jennifer Given, Laura Girard, Matthew Trzcinski, Micaela Trzcinski, Kyle Pero, Kelsy Nixon, Kailey Pero and Keith Pero. Great grandchildren include Grayson Forte, Olivia Forte, Aiden Orlowsky, Lily Orlowsky, Gracie Kearsley, Harper Klanderud, Macie O’Brien, Henry O’Brien, Sophia O’Brien, Rosie Given and Liza Girard. Bernice also leaves her dear friend, Betty Pero, and her constant furry companion, Kitty. Bernice was an avid reader and had volunteered for many years to shop for the elderly, when she was well into her eighties herself, through the Council on Aging. Bernice enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren, playing cards. For many years she spent many winters in South Carolina and Florida at the homes of her son Franklin and daughter Patricia. Bernice had a dry sense of humor, a soft, gentle personality and loving touch which will all be missed. Bernice was predeceased by her husband Bruno, parents, brothers Henry and Howard, sister Helen and grandson Thomas White; as well as her lifelong friends Irene LaMarche and Loretta Milisiewski. “A Mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one can take”. As requested by Bernice, there will be no calling hours and burial will be private for the family. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus School, 108 Summer St. Adams, MA 01220. The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, is in charge of arrangements. To leave a message of condolence, please go online to www.paciorekfuneral.com
