Zella B. Wise, 92

CHESHIRE, Mass. —  

Mrs. Zella (Bianchi) Wise, 92, of Cheshire, died on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her home.

She was born in the Farnams section of Cheshire on April 9, 1929, daughter of the late Azzo and Clementina (Bona) Bianchi. She attended schools in Cheshire and Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School with the class of 1947.

Mrs. Wise worked for the former General Electric Co. and the former Lockheed Martin in Pittsfield for many years as an office manager until her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire. She enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox, flower gardening, playing the slots at the casinos and spending time with her significant other of 29 years, Craig O’Neill.

Her husband, Norman Wise is deceased.

Besides her significant other Craig, she is survived by her son David Wise of the state of Florida; her daughter, Nancy Haflich and her husband Lenny of Granby, MA; Craig’s son Michael O’Neill and his wife Anna of North Adams; two grandchildren, Michael and Jamie; three great grandchildren, all of Canada; two nephews, former Pittsfield Mayor, Dan Bianchi and his wife Theresa and Bob Bianchi and his wife Maryann of PA; and by one niece, Maryellen Therrien and her husband Vinny of VA.

She was predeceased by her brother Emile Bianchi and his wife Rita Bianchi and by her foster brother Henry Polastrie.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 15th at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire.

Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery.

There are no calling hours.
