Billy J. Newlands, 45
ADAMS, Mass. —
Mr. Billy James Newlands, 45, of Adams, died on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center in North Adams.
He was born in North Adams on December 23, 1975, son of Denise (Haring) Matthews. He attended schools in Adams.
At an early age Billy always talked about being a heavy equipment operator and did in his adult life for many local construction companies.
He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, farming, racing RC cars and watching motocross.
Besides his mother of Adams, he is survived by his daughter, Norah Newlands of Adams; his sisters, Bobbi Tassone and Chloe Jade Matthews, both of Adams; his good friend and brother-in-law, Brian Tassone; his nephews, Anthony and Matthew Tassone; his aunt, Lee Myers whom he enjoyed working on various farms with; his uncle Jack Haring and by cousins and friends.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial donations may be made to the Norah Newlands Educational Fund through the funeral home.
