Phyllis J. Davis, 83

Phyllis J. Davis, 83, died peacefully on Wednesday June 15, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in North Adams on Sept. 3, 1938, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Arrighi) Guyette. She attended the former St Joseph High School graduating in 1957. She then married the love of her life, the late Walter Davis on November 9th of that year. Phyllis was employed by the original Capital Restaurant for many years where she befriended much of the public. She also worked at Crane Inc. until her retirement in 2000. By far, her favorite job was as a caretaker for her family. She was an avid bingo player "back in the day" and enjoyed the weekly poker games with family on Sunday's.
She is survived by her daughters Kathy (Jim) Montgomery and Debbie Davis(Bob) both of North Adams. Six grandchildren, Kevin (Alicia) Davis, Katelyn Boesse (Mike), Jennifer Davis (Wes), Kelsey ( Tom) McPherson, Jamie Czarnecki and her fiancee Stephanie Mirante and Jonathan Sprowson (Haley). A Gram, Grammy, Gam and Bestest Friend Ever to twelve great grandchildren Logan, Lauren, Lainey, Hailey, Lucas, Hunter, Jayden Braylee, Addison, Skylar, Calvin and Bradyn.
A brother Richard (Jeanne) Guyette of North Adams, as well as several neices, nephews and their families.
Phyllis is predeceased by her husband Walt and daughter Jane Davis.
At her request there will be no calling hours. A liturgy of Christian Burial Mass will be held Monday June 20, 2022 ,11:00am at St. Elizabeth's Church, North Adams with burial following at Southview Cemetary in North Adams.
