Nancy Totino, 84

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Nancy Ann (Mancuso) Totino, age 84, of St. Augustine, FL passed away on November 7, 2022 at UF Health in Jacksonville. She was born and raised in North Adams, Massachusetts, the oldest of five children born to Albert and Settina (Salce) Mancuso and was a 1956 graduate of Drury High School. Nancy met her husband-to-be, John Paul Totino, through her uncle who was a friend of John’s, and they were married on June 20, 1958. Nancy was intelligent and hard working. As a young woman she worked for Liberty Loan, and after marriage she moved to Tallahassee where John was attending school. While living there, she worked for a local television station, appearing as “Ms. Nancy” on a child’s tv show. For many years they also lived in Plantation, Florida, where she worked as a Financial Analyst and Supervisor for American Express. She was also involved as a volunteer for the Ft. Lauderdale Children’s Home Society. Nancy succeeded as everything she put her hand to. An accomplished entrepreneur, she opened and operated Totino’s Italian Restaurant in Pompano Beach, FL, as well as several other businesses including the shoe store. After relocating to St. Augustine in the year 2000, she was a faithful parishioner of St. Anastasia Catholic Church, as well as being active in small groups at Good News Church. A vibrant lady with much energy and motivation, Nancy also enjoyed reading and being a part of Book Clubs. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Settina Mancuso and her brother, Father Joseph Mancuso. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, John Totino of St. Augustine; a daughter, Dr. Lisa Totino and a son, John Totino (Char), both of Ft. Lauderdale; brothers, Albert “Butch” Mancuso (Lorraine) of North Adams, Massachusetts and Michael Mancuso (Mary Jo) of Milford, New Hampshire; and a sister, Rachel Dorman (Bob) of Clarksburg, Massachusetts.
