Carmen L. LaCasse, III, 51

ADAMS, Mass. —

Mr. Carmen L. LaCasse III, 51, of Adams, died on Monday, November 21st, 2022, at his home.

He was born in Pittsfield on December 12th, 1970, a son of Carmen L. LaCasse, Jr., and the late Lynn A. Burke. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School, then Hyde Park Culinary Arts School and Berkshire Community College as a Food and Hospitality major.

He also served with the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

Truly a renaissance man, Carmen not only delved into but excelled at many interests, including carpentry, electrical work, boat repair, sales, bartending, kitchen and restaurant management, to name a few. Always up to date on current events, news, music, and an avid reader, Carmen was always an interesting and engaging, fun and funny person to have a conversation with - always ready with that infectious smile. Those that got to know him were truly blessed, however his biggest passion was the closeness of his family, especially his mother and the “Irish Bulldogs” Carmen Cory and Colin, which Colin liked to call the brothers.

Carmen worked as a Disc Jockey, which was his passion from Roller Magic to countless School dances, weddings, anniversaries, and parties. He had a DJ business " Final Destination Entertainment " with his brother Cory and were the house DJ's at Gringos for many years for many weddings and other functions.

Besides his father Carmen LaCasse, Jr. and stepmother Annette, he is survived by his wife Jeneen J. Bohn, whom he married on August 27th of this year and her daughter Morgan-Raya of North Adams; his brother Cory LaCasse and his wife Heather of Norfolk, VA; his beloved niece Zoey LaCasse of North Adams and by many, many aunts, uncles and cousins and extended family.

He was predeceased by his brother Colin LaCasse.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 29th from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a service.

A gathering at Bounti Fare in North Adams after the service is open to all.

A private graveside ceremony will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to offset costs.

Last I saw Carman was at CJs Pub (AJs Trailside) in the summer of 2020. Was happy to see me and for me likewise... He me his DJ card. That card was and still is at my bedside waiting for a day to call him and get together once I got a minute in my meaningless life... Dont wait people.... Carman was the best and was and would always be there for me. This one hit hard. His passing has me baffled.. Unbelievable. Hope to see you on the other side buddy. If I shall be so lucky... You were the Best, Man....
