Sandra D. Montgomery, 82

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Sandra D. Montgomery, 82, of Adams, died peacefully at her home on Friday, January 13, 2023 with her family by her side.

She was born on December 16, 1940 in North Adams. She married Harold R. Montgomery on April 18, 1959, and had two children. Mr. Montgomery died on November 6, 2018.

She leaves her daughter, Susan Knapp of Adams; her son, James Montgomery and his wife, Kathy, of North Adams, as well as their families. She also leaves her brother, John Wilson of Pownal, VT; and was predeceased by her sister, Carol A. Cain

At Mrs. Montgomery’s request, funeral services and burial in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown, will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society, 214 Barker Rd. Pittsfield, MA 01201. The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, Adams, is in charge of arrangements. I am sorry for your loss. Sandy was a remarkable woman. As a department chair, I hired her for a secretarial job at Williams College and she contributed greatly to the smooth running of the Economics Department for many years.
