Jayson Paul Brock, 47

PITTSFIELD, Mass. —  Jayson Paul Brock, age 47, passed away at home on Monday, November 27, 2023 after a fierce 7 month battle with cancer. Jayson refused to give up and fought every single day to survive.  Born on August 10, 1976, he was a son of the late Laura Brodeur. He was born in Illinois and raised from early childhood on in Massachusetts.

Jayson worked for many years as a truck driver, most recently working for Irish Trucking. He loved his work and his time on the road and never found a job too tough, in fact, he welcomed each challenge. He was "the best there ever was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be".

To say Jayson was a car enthusiast was putting it lightly. He loved cars; especially older model Chevys. He loved working on them, talking about them, driving them. If it was a Chevy, he could fix it and driving came as naturally to him as simply walking comes to most people.

Jayson was a wonderful father and enjoyed every minute spent with his boys. He lived for his family, loved his wife and adored his kids. He had a way of making friends with everyone he met, and never had anything bad to say about anyone, as well as having a quick wit and a wicked sense of humor. Everything he did, he gave it his all.

He is survived by his wife, Kris Schaefer Brock, and their children, Devon Brock, Gary Lefebvre and James Schaefer.
He also leaves his sisters, Jasmine Chamblee, and her husband and children, Journey Blakey, and her husband and children, Jonquil Brock, and her significant other and their daughter, Justice Hartley, and her significant other and their son, his brothers, Jason Brodeur  and his wife and son, and Justin Brodeur, his aunts Rhonda Granger, and her signifucant other, and sons and granddaughter, Kathleen Airoldi, and her husband and children and grandchildren, Donna Granger and her sons and familes, and Stephanie Granger, his mother-in-law, Anne Lauren and father-in-law, Christopher Del Gallo, his sister-in-law, Jennifer Isenhart and her husband and children and granddaughter, his brother-in-laws, Steve Lauren and Thomas Gwinnell, and his lifelong friends, Dave Martin and Neal Davis, along with many other friends and family who are absolutely devastated by the loss of Jayson.

Calling Hours will be Saturday, December 16th beginning at 12PM at the Devanny-Condron Funeral Home with a funeral home prayer service to begin at 1PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral costs may be made on GoFundMe or by calling the funeral home at 413-445-5988 to donate over the phone or set up an appointment to donate in person.
