CHESHIRE, Mass. – Gracelyn Wright went 4-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs Tuesday to lead the Hoosac Valley softball team to a 19-7 win over Mount Everett.
Izabela Tart went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, and Alayna Shears was 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of runs batted in.
Wright also went the distance in the circle for the Hurricanes, striking out 10 and walking five in a game shortened to six innings by the 12-run rule.
Julia Devoti went 3-for-4 with a solo home run for the Eagles, who got two hits, including a double, from Makayla Carpenter.
Devoti and Mercedes Kosik split time in the circle for Mount Everett, combining to strike out eight.
The Eagles (10-6) host Lee on Thursday.
Hoosac Valley (6-11) hosts Springfield Central on Thursday.
