LEE, Mass. – Jacob Howland scored 28 points Thursday to lead the McCann Tech boys basketball team to a 65-52 win over Lee.
Howland hit two of his five 3-pointers in the second quarter, when the Hornets outscored their hosts, 18-11, to take a 29-23 lead into the locker room.
In the second half, Howland scored 20 points as McCann Tech pulled away.
Walter Mazza scored 18, and Zach Howland and Eric Rougeau added seven points apiece in the win.
Joey Abderhalden scored 14 points to lead Lee, which got 11 apiece from Tyler Bartini and Shaun Kinney.
Lee (5-13) goes to Pioneer Valley Christian Academy on Wednesday.
McCann Tech (14-4) takes a four-game winning streak into next week’s Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament. The seedings will be released on Friday.
