NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Jacob Howland scored 28 points Friday to lead the McCann Tech boys basketball team to a 73-41 win over Baystate Charter.
Howland hit three 3-pointers and scored 13 points in the third quarter alone, when the Hornets outscored the visitors, 27-4, to take a 53-30 lead.
“We didn’t play like we wanted in the first half, but the second half, we locked in and came out with a good win,” McCann Tech coach Chris Bullett said. “Howland was really good tonight.”
Howland finished with five 3-pointers on the night.
Eric Rougeau and Walter Mazza backed him up with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
McCann Tech (9-3) will look to continue a five-game winning streak and qualify for the Division 5 State Tournament on Monday when they host Hampden Charter.
