Print Story | Email Story

ADAMS, Mass. — The town announced the winners of the Holiday Home Decorating Contest winners and 97 North Summer St. won first place.

The town announced Tuesday that 350 votes were cast and 97 North Summer Street took first place, 4 Country Club Ext. took second place, and 147 Friend Street took third place.

"As I drove throughout the town, it was heartwarming to see the holiday spirit on display," Town Clerk Haley Meczywor said.

Earlier this month, the town decided to resurrect the Holiday Home Decorating Contest in which homeowners are encouraged to decorate the exterior of their residences so they can be seen from the street and judged.

Voting took place online. The 49 participants were asked to turn their displays on over the weekend so residents could judge.

Each of the winners will receive a gift certificate to the Adams Hometown Market.
