THE "BLUNT" TRUTH: THE IMPACT OF MARIJUANA ON KIDS

COMMUNITY BIKE RIDE
Pittsfield, 10 a.m.
The City of Pittsfield’s Department of Community Development Recreation Program’s Annual Community Bike Ride will be held at the Controy Pavilion on Onota Lake at Burbank Park. Registration for this free event will begin at 9:30 a.m. The route will begin at the Controy Pavilion, head to Pittsfield State Forest and then return to the Pavilion, for a roundtrip that falls just under 6 miles; a police escort will accompany riders. An obstacle course and bike limbo will be provided by Berkshire Bike and Board; the company will also provide on-site maintenance before and after the ride.

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt., is hosting an American Red Cross Blood drive in its employee cafeteria. As always, walk-ins will be accommodated as well.

SCREENAGERS: GROWING UP IN THE DIGITAL AGE

Special Screening of Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age Monday, June 19th at 5:00pm at Drury High School Auditorium FREE Community Film Screening and Panel Discussion of this documentary that explores the impact of screen technology on kids. The award-winning SCREENAGERS depicts the messy struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction within the modern family. BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS
North Adams, 9-11 a.m.
North Adams Commons will hold a monthly blood pressure clinic at the Mary Spitzer Center (North Adams Council on Aging) on Ashland Street on the third Tuesday of the month. A nurse from North Adams Commons will record blood pressure and pulse, and offer a light snack and information about upcoming events.
