Jeannette M. Rondeau, 88
READSBORO, Vt. — Jeannette Marie Rondeau, 88, of 430 Tunnel St. and a former longtime resident of Stamford, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, at North Adams (Mass.) Regional Hospital.
Born in North Adams on April 2, 1925, a daughter of the Ernest and Lillian LaGess Foote, she attended schools in North Adams.
Mrs. Rondeau was employed for 44 years at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams.
She was a former communicant of St. John Bosco Church in Stamford. She enjoyed baking, crocheting and traveling to the casinos.
She and her husband, Wilfred G. Rondeau, were married Aug. 3, 1946, in the former Notre Dame Church in North Adams.
Besides her husband, of 66 years, she leaves a daughter, Linda Pellerin and her husband, William, of Gastonia, N.C.; a son, James F. Rondeau and his wife, Denise, of Stamford; four grandchildren, Aimee Pellerin Phillips, Laura Pellerin, Chad M. Rondeau and Christine Sprague, sixteen great-grandchildren and seventy-four great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three grandchildren James, Jane and Sarah Rondeau. She was also predeceased by three sisters and four brothers, Blanche LaGess, Evelyn Krzeminski, Lucille LaBombard, Bernard Foote, Ernest Foote, William Foote and Joseph "Harry" Foote.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian for Mrs. Rondeau will be celebrated Thursday, May 9, at 11 from St. Elizabeth's Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 8, from 5 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for the Readsboro Volunteer Fire Department through the funeral home.
