Mariann DeLuca, 63
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. Mariann DeLuca, 63, of Goffstown, N.H., formerly of North Adams, died July 3, 2013, at Kindred Hospital in Peabody after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in North Adams on Jan. 30, 1950, daughter of Rita Fulginiti Vecellio of North Adams and the late Dominick Angelo Vecellio, she lived in Burlington and Milton, Vt., for many years before moving to Goffstown eight years ago.
Mrs. DeLuca was a math teacher at Milton High School for 29 years. She then worked at Southern New Hampshire University in Hooksett.
She was devoted to her students and was very involved in community activities. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting and puzzles of all kinds.
Besides her mother, she leaves her husband of 24 years, Joseph P. DeLuca; a niece, Chelsea Vecellio of Williamstown; nephews Gregory and Jeffrey Vecellio, both of North Adams; an aunt, Mary Fulginiti of North Adams, and an uncle, many cousins and her husband's niece and nephew.
She was predeceased by her brother, Dominick Anthony Vecellio.
FUNERAL NOTICE A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. DeLuca will be celebrated Monday, July 8, at noon in Sacred Heart Church, 265 S. Main Street, Manchester, N.H. Committal prayers will follow at Shirley Hill Cemetery in Goffstown, N.H.
