Dominick Vecellio, 48

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Dominick Anthony Vecellio, 48, of 51 Hathaway St. died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at home. Born in North Adams on Nov. 10, 1953, son of Rita Fulginiti Vecellio of North Adams and the late Dominick Angelo Vecellio, he was a 1971 graduate of the former St. Joseph's High School. Mr. Vecellio was employed in the shipping department at Steinerfilm Co. in Williamstown for 22 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church. He was an accomplished drummer and performed with various bands throughout the county. He enjoyed music, working with computers, and was an avid New York Yankees fan. He and his wife, the former Nancy Riordan, were married April 4, 1981, in Our Lady of the Incarnation Church. Besides his mother and his wife, he leaves a daughter, Chelsea Vecellio of North Adams; two sons, Gregory Vecellio and Jeffrey Vecellio, both of North Adams, and a sister, Mariann DeLuca of Milton, Vt. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral Mr. Vecellio will be Tuesday at 9 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 at Our Lady of Mercy Shrine on Massachusetts Avenue by the Rev. Daniel O'Hear, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 to 6. Memorial donations are suggested for the Dominick A. Vecellio Children's Education Fund through the funeral home, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
