Robert F. Bellard Sr., 74

January 19, 2014

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Robert Francis Bellard Sr., 74, of North Adams died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield, surrounded by his family.

Born in Cheshire on Jan. 31, 1939, son of Antonio and Lillian Eurbin Bellard, he attended schools in Adams and Cheshire and graduated from Drury High School.

Mr. Bellard was last employed by the former Scarafoni Ford for several years. Before that, he worked at the former W.R. Grace and the Wall-Streeter Shoe companies.

He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and a member of the North Adams Elks. He was a Little League coach and also coached football and basketball for many years.

He and his wife, the former Helen L. Therrien, were married on June 23, 1962, in the former Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church in Adams.

Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Robert F. Bellard Jr. of Stephentown, N.Y.; three daughters, Kimberly Mroz of Somersworth, N.H., Kathleen Lyon of North Adams and Jacqueline Porter of Barrington, N.H.; his brother, Antonio Bellard of Burlington, N.J.; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings Elizabeth Estes, Marion Jones, Dorothy DeSanty, Carol Bellard and Roger Bellard.

FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Bellard will be Thursday, Jan. 23, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
