Harold E. Cutting, 76

CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Harold Earl Cutting, 76, of 830 Daniels Road died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at his home. Born in New Salem on Oct. 15, 1937, son of Delbert Cutting and Ethel Sumner Cutting Lee, he was raised by his mother and stepfather, Albert Lee. He attended Clarksburg schools. He served in the Massachusetts National Guard. Mr. Cutting was last employed by the Eagle Lumber Co. until his retirement. Before that, he worked at several local dairy farms. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and making maple syrup. He also liked to watch old Western movies; to attend gas-engine shows, and square dancing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson. He leaves his wife, the former Ada Wells, whom he married on June 26, 1965; two daughters, Brenda Sheable and her husband, James, of Indianapolis and Tina Levesque and her husband, Clarence, of Cheshire; a brother, Lloyd Cutting of Williamsburg; his grandson, Zachary Levesque, and nieces and nephews. His brother Clayton Cutting died in 2007. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Cutting will be Thursday, May 15, at 11 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Clarksburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, Mary 14, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshires or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
