Claire R. Andrews, 75

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Claire Rita Andrews, 75, of 1090 Massachusetts Ave. died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

Born in North Adams on Dec. 9, 1938, daughter of Alphonse and Irene Bourelle Chouinard, she attended North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School. She also attended a hairdressing school in Boston.

Mrs. Andrews was last employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for many years until her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and enjoyed bowling and golf.

She leaves her husband, John F. Andrews, whom she married on Nov. 23, 1984; her caregiver, Ruth Yarter of North Adams, and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, E. James Chouinard.

FUNERAL NOTICE — A graveside service for Mrs. Andrews will be held Thursday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. at Southview Cemetery in North Adams.

There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Adams Ambulance Service in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
