John F. Andrews, 95
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — John F. Andrews, 95, of North Adams, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in North Adams on Feb. 13, 1921, son of Frederic and Agnes Cardinal Andrews, he attended local schools and graduated from St. Joseph's High School.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Andrews was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in North Adams for many years, until his retirement.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. He enjoyed bowling and golf and was a longtime member of Stamford Valley (Vt.) Golf Course.
His wife, the former Claire Rita Chouinard, whom he married on Nov. 23, 1984, died on Aug. 3, 2014.
He leaves a niece and a nephew.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. Andrews will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery.
