Sandra B. Fierro, 72
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Sandra B. Fierro, 72, of 45 Leonard St. died on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Bridgeport, Conn., on Aug. 4, 1942, a daughter of Ernest and Lillian Saunders Johnson, she graduated from Fort Fairfield High School in Maine.
Mrs. Fierro was last employed as a manager at Excelsior Printing Co., retiring in 2004.
She was an accomplished seamstress and painter, and loved going to tag sales and quilting. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She and her husband, David A. Fierro, were married Feb. 9, 1963, in Fort Fairfield, Maine.
Besides her husband of 51 years, she leaves two sons, David A. Fierro Jr. and his wife, Suzanne, of Stamford, Vt., and Michael A. Fierro Sr. and his wife, Regina, of North Adams; a brother, Gary Johnson; four grandchildren, Melissa Fierro, Michael "Duke" Fierro Jr., Ashton Fierro and Mason Fierro, a great-granddaughter, Kierra, and her sister-in-law Mary Willey and her husband, Paul.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Kristine Marie Fierro on Feb. 5, 2014, and her brother Gilman Johnson.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A funeral to celebrate the life of Mrs. Fierro will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in North Adams.
Calling hours will be on Thursday evening, Nov. 6, from 5 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Donations may be made to the Kristine Marie Fierro Memorial Fund in care of the Funeral Home.
