Loretta Mae Rarick, 83
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Loretta Mae Rarick, 83, of North Adams died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at North Adams Commons.
Born in North Adams on Dec. 18, 1930, a daughter of Clifford and Mary Duverney Brosseau, she attended schools in North Adams.
Mrs. Rarick was employed at the former Clark Biscuit Co. and later at Cascade School Supplies.
She enjoyed bowling, bird watching, puzzles and collecting owls.
Her husband, Charles H. Rarick Jr., whom she married Sept. 18, 1948, died June 19, 2007.
She leaves her daughter, Diane Saunders and her husband, William, of Windsor; a sister, Patricia Fix and her husband, William, of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, Tammy Barosso and her husband, Michael, of Pittsfield, Tricia Saunders of Windsor and Ryan Saunders and his wife, Lynn, of North Adams; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Barosso and Madison and Cameron Saunders, and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Clifford Brosseau, and her sisters Dorothy Zoito and Mary Germain.
FUNERAL NOTICE - Funeral services for Mrs. Rarick will take place Friday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Thursday, Dec. 4, from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the Berkshire Humane Society through the funeral home.
Mrs. Rarick's family would like to thank the wonderful staff at North Adams Commons and Berkshire VNA & Hospice for all the loving and compassionate care they provided to her in her final days.
