Beverly A. Wright, 79
ADAMS, Mass. — Beverly A. Wright, 79, of Dean Street, died Saturday afternoon, Aug. 8, 2015, at North Adams Commons.
Born in North Adams on April 16, 1936, daughter of John H. and Ruth M. Crapo Alcombright,she attended North Adams schools, including the former St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. Wright was a homemaker most of her life, but had worked for several years at the former J.J. Newberry store in North Adams.
She had been a communicant of the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
Her husband, Henry Wright, whom she married in 1957, died in 1978.
She leaves a granddaughter, Tammy Desormeaux and her husband, Thomas Desormeaux II, of the town of Florida; two brothers, John Alcombright and Stephen Alcombright and his wife, Beverly, all of North Adams; two great-granddaughters, Emma and Meredith Desormeaux; a stepdaughter, Shirley Goodell of Vermont, several stepgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Theresa Wright Malloy, in 2001; her infant brother, Richard; by two stepsons, Henry Wright and Donald Wright; and by her stepdaughter, Nancy Cozzaglio.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m. from Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Deacon Gregory LaFreniere of the Parish of St. John Paul II will officiate. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery in North Adams.
Calling hours will be Friday morning from 9 until the service, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray final expenses.
