Elizabeth R. Famiano, 83

CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Elizabeth Rose Famiano, 83, of North Eagle Street, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 19, 1932, a daughter of George and Albertine Gingras Cardinal, she attended the former Notre Dame School and Drury High School.
Mrs. Famiano was a devoted and dedicated homemaker and mother and enjoyed her flower garden.
She was a very active communicant of the former Notre Dame Church in North Adams, where she was a member the St. Martha's Song Tones Choir and the Altar Guild and secretary for the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine program for many years. She later was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams.
Her husband, Carl Joseph Famiano, whom she married May 5, 1962, died April 15, 2011.
She leaves two daughters, Brenda Alibozek and her husband, John, of Adams and Donna Whitcomb and her husband, David, of Stamford, Vt.; and a grandson, Cameron Alibozek of Adams.
She was predeceased by a sister and two brothers, Agnes Renault, Charles Cardinal and George Cardinal.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Famiano will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 15, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Thursday, Jan. 14, from 4 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Vincent de Paul Society through the funeral home.
