Claire Racine, 88

ADAMS, Mass. — Miss Claire Theresa Racine, 88, of 380 Old Columbia St. died early Monday morning, June 27, 2016, at her home.

She was born in Adams on November 6, 1927, a daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Gladu) Racine. She attended schools in Adams.

Claire worked for the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for 43 years until her retirement.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church in Adams. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and her flowers.

She is survived by one brother, Leonel "Bud" Racine of Adams; four sisters, Jeannette Domina of Easthampton, Yvette Blair of Adams, Lucille Zocchi of Scotia, N.Y., and Jeanine Gagne of Lee; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Albert, Art, Raymond and Donald Racine; and by two sisters, Irene St. Hilaire and Simonne Domina.

Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 29, at 11:30 a.m. from the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, McKinley Square, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Steven Montesanti, Pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
