He also was the owner of Lou's Catering in North Adams.

Lou had a love for life and a kind word for all that he met, once you met him he made you feel part of his family. He was an accomplished chef and loved hunting and fishing, but more than anything he loved being with family and friends. He spent many hours serving others, whether it be ushering at church, sponsoring spaghetti supper fundraisers or always being there for anyone who was in need. He had a knack for showing up when you needed a friend.

I just heard of Louie's passing and feel heartbroken that I didn't know sooner. I remember him when our families were neighbor's way back when and always loved to hear him laugh. He was truly one of the good guys. Please extend my deepest sympathy to the family.

This news broke our hearts. I am thankful I (Toni) got to know you well from working at Big Y. You were always so nice and friendly and always smiling.

I will miss you forever, Uncle Louie. You will be remembered forever as the master of prime rib on New Year's, with the family gathered with Aunt Shirley. I learned a lot from you, and will never allow your teachings to fade.

My family and I could not get past the mention of Uncle Louie's name without someone shouting out, "I'll take care of it!" That was Uncle's response if one of us ever needed it. And you always dos take care of it. We will miss your smile and positive outlook but most of all that secure feeling that you will be there to "take care of it." But I know you're still there "taking care of it" from heaven now. May Aunt Shirley and Jim and Louie feel that presence in the days ahead. With much love to everyone. Leslie

My sympathies to the Lescarbeau family. I met Louie in 1980 while working at Steinerfilm and from day one, like the obituary said, Louie made me feel like one of his brothers. A gentleman, and a very hard worker, Louie made people smile but not because he was funny, but because he made everyone feel comfortable around him. He truly had a gift for that. Someday we'll all look back at louie with a smile instead of a tear, and hopefully that day comes soon. RIP Louie.
