Eleanor M. Drury, 69
ADAMS, Mass. — Eleanor M. Drury, 69, of Woodbury, Minn., formerly of Adams, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, of cancer at Our Lady of Good Counsel Hospice in St. Paul, Minn., where she had resided since Sept. 10.
Born in Adams on Jan. 19, 1932, daughter of the Fred Remillard Sr. and Adella Stachura Remillard, she was a 1950 graduate of the former Adams High School. She resided in Adams and North Adams most of her life.
Mrs. Drury was employed for many years by the former Cornish Wire Co. in Williamstown and by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams until her retirement several years ago.
She leaves four daughters, Holly Ryan-Moore of Woodbury, with whom she resided, Mary Dell Ryan of Wixom, Mich., Wendy S. Hughes of Apopka, Fla., and Susan J. Drury of Quincy, Fla.; three sons, William P. Ryan Jr. of Newton and Timothy J. Ryan and Christopher R. Ryan, both of North Adams; a sister, Jacqueline Cardonnel of Adams; six grandchildren, Sarah Ryan of Massachusetts, Mandy and Samantha Greenlee of Michigan, and Emily and Dylan Hughes and Alan Brogdon, all of Florida; her former husbands, William E. Drury of the state of Florida and William P. Ryan of Minnesota and Iowa; two cousins, Geraldine Oparowski and Delores Harrington of North Adams; a relative, Janet Straczek of Adams; and nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was predeceased by a brother, Fred Remillard Jr.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service and interment for Mrs. Drury is planned for next spring and will be announced at a later date. The family wishes to thank those who held herin their hearts and supported her with their thoughts, prayers and letters.
