John Breen, 44
ADAMS, Mass. - John Paul Breen, 44, of 14 Second St. died Monday evening, March 11, 2002, at Lake Umbagog, Errol, N.H., as a result of a snowmobile accident.
Born in North Adams on May 16, 1957, son of Reinee Agnes Ouellette Breen of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and the late James Edward Breen, he was a 1975 graduate of Drury High School in North Adams. He also graduated from the licensed practical nursing program at Charles H. McCann Vocational Technical School.
Mr. Breen was employed by Specialty Minerals Inc. in Adams for 20 years, until the time of his death. He and his wife purchased the Breen family business, Breen's Flowers, in North Adams in 1995 and operated it until 1997, when it closed.
He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and skiing, and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was one of the founding staff members of Custom City Motorcycle Charity Fall Run.
He married his wife, the former Tami Rand, on May 31, 1985, at First Baptist Church in Adams.
Besides his mother, and his wife, he leaves two daughters, Shaleigh Breen and Erin Breen, both of Adams; a sister, Holly Ann Breen of Long Beach, Calif.; three brothers, Michael J. Breen of Wells, Maine, Peter E. Breen of North Adams and James T. Breen of Auburn, N.H.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Breen will take place Saturday at 11 at First Baptist Church in Adams with the Rev. Donald Gray, pastor, officiating.
