Francesca M. Mancini, 88

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Francesca Mildred "Frances" Mancini, 88, of 5 Windsor Lake Road, died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, surrounded by family. Born in Mount Mills, Vt., on March 8, 1915, daughter of Antonio and Mary Pera Paolucci, she attended schools in Wilmington, Vt. Mrs. Mancini was employed for 22 years as manager of the former Best-Way Laundry, retiring in 1977. Prior to that, she worked as a waitress at the former Tony's Restaurant and was employed in the Greylock Mills of the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and enjoyed animals, gardening and cooking. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and homemaker. Her husband, John Lucien Mancini, whom she married May 31, 1945, in North Adams, died June 25, 1975. She leaves a daughter, Darlene Mancini of North Adams; two sons, Bruce Mancini of Adams and Craig Mancini of North Adams; a stepson, William Mancini of North Hollywood, Calif.; a grandson, Craig F. Mancini Jr.; three great-grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Jean Burnell; two stepsons, Robert E. "Tiny" Mancini and John B. Mancini; two brothers, Peter and John Paolucci, and four sisters, Cecilia Maxymillian, Julia Bissaillon, Dorothy Paolucci and Doris Paolucci. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mancini will be celebrated Thursday at 1 at the St. Francis' Church chapel. There will be no calling hours.
