Eleanor M. DeSanty, 82

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Eleanor Marie DeSanty, 82, of 23 Harris St. died Friday, March 16,200l at Willowood of North Adams. Born in North Adams on June 18,1918, one of 13 children of Vincent and Maria Antoinette Siciliano DeSanty, she was educated in North Adams schools. Miss DeSanty was employed for more than 40 years with the former Sprague Electric Co. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Churc. She was a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club and the Sprague Retirees. Survivors include one sister, Elizabeth Sheehan of North Adams; one brother, Thomas DeSanty of North Adams, nieces and nephews, including Arthur and Linda DeSanty of Pownal, Vt., who were her caregivers; and grandnieces and grandnephews. Ten brothers and,sisters are deceased including Margaret Pozzi, Frances Jammalo, Beatrice Gibeau, Rose Areno, Arthur DeSanty, Andrew DeSanty, Ernest DeSanty, and three who died in infancy. FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services will take place Monday morning at 8:15 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Anthony of Padua Church celbrated by the Rev, Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor. Burial will follow in the family lot in Southview Cemetery in North Adams. Calling hours will be Sundayfrom 3 to 6 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Elder Services of Berkshire County or to VNA Hospice of North Berkshire in care of the funeral home.
