Rose B. Wnuk, 91

ADAMS, Mass. — Rose B. Wnuk, 91, of 90 Upper East Hoosac St. died Saturday evening, Aug. 16, 2003, at North Adams Regional Hospital after suffering a heart attack at home. Born in Adams on Dec. 13, 1911, daughter of Frank and Tekla Myszarek Brendza, she was educated in local schools, including St. Stanislaus Kostka School. Mrs. Wnuk was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams in the production department, retiring in 1963. At an early age, she had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church. Her husband, Walter Wnuk, whom she married Sept. 7, 1931, died Feb. 23, 1990. She leaves four sons, Walter A. Wnuk, Donald F. Wnuk and William D. Wnuk, all of Adams, and Thomas M. Wnuk of Bowe, N.H.; five daughters, Dorothy Porio, Elaine Puppolo, Victoria Morin, Rose Konopka and Nancy Jamros, all of Adams; a sister, Clare Downey of Cheshire; 24 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Stanley and Larry Brendza; three sisters, Josephine Zatara, Mary Mendel and Sophy Bryda, and a grandchild. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Wnuk will be offered Wednesday at 12:30 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A private visitation period for family members only will be held Wednesday from 10 until the time of the prayer service at 11:45. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Stanislaus' School Fund through MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, which is in charge of arrangements.
