Debra Ann Dubie, 47
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Debra Ann Dubie, 47, of 47 Watson St. died of cancer on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, where she was admitted Dec. 15.
Born in North Adams on June 5, 1956, daughter of Lucille L. Monette Crawford and the late Matthew R. Crawford, she was a 1973 graduate of Drury High School.
Mrs. Dubie had been employed for 17 years as a directory assistance operator for Verizon in its Pittsfield office. Before that, she worked at the former Price Chopper in North Adams, the Four Acres Restaurant in Williamstown and the former Sprague Electric Co.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy and St. Francis' churches and volunteered her services for youth soccer.
She and her husband, Dennis M. Dubie, were married May 14, 1994.
Besides her husband and mother, of North Adams, she leaves a daughter, Shannon Zoito of North Adams; a son, Matthew David Dubie, at home, a student at Conte Middle School; a stepdaughter, Denise M. Dubie of Newton; a stepson, Derek M. Dubie of North Adams; a brother, Matthew James Crawford of Dracut, and three grandchildren, Allison Zoito, Tessa Zoito and Ryan Dubie, all of North Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mrs. Dubie will be Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Francis' Church at 11, with the Rev. Michael Twardzik, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, any donations in her memory are suggested for the Cancer Research Fund through the funeral home.
