Christopher H. Norton, 51
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Christopher Haywood Norton, 51, of Jensen Beach, Fla., formerly of Williamstown, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, in Stuart, Fla.
Born in Williamstown on Feb. 2, 1953, son of Jerome H. and Phyllis McNanley Norton of Williamstown, he graduated in 1971 from Mount Greylock Regional High School, where he was active in music, drama and football.
He attended Cape Cod Community College and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He resided for many years on Cape Cod and moved to Florida several years ago.
Mr. Norton was the manager of the Winn-Dixie in Jensen Beach, Fla. Prior to that, he had been manager of Dumphy's Health Spa in Hyannis and was a real estate broker for many years.
Besides his parents, he leaves two brothers, Carl Norton of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Jerome D. Norton of South Hadley; a sister, Jennifer Jayko of Williamstown, and two nieces, Danielle Norton and Lila Ying Norton.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A Memorial Mass to celebrate the life of Mr. Norton will be celebrated Wednesday, March 3, at 11 at St. Patrick's Church, Williamstown, by the Rev. Mark J. Burke, SJ, pastor of the Parish of Sts. Patrick and Raphael.
