James E. Critelli, 62
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — James Edward Critelli, 62, of 9 Duggan St. died Saturday evening, July 17, 2004, at home after a long illness.
Born in North Adams on May 25, 1942, son of Esther Bua Critelli and the late Albert Uberto Critelli, he attended Drury High School.
He served in the Army from 1961 to 1963.
Mr. Critelli was last employed by O'Connell & Sons Construction. Before that, he worked for A. Shapiro & Sons, the former Conalco Corp. and Modern Aluminum Anodizing Corp.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
He and his wife, the former Gail Lynn Rock, were married Oct. 4, 1969, at St. Andrew's Church.
Besides his wife and mother, of North Adams, he leaves two daughters, Christine Esther Critelli of Wellington, Fla., and Jennifer Lynn Critelli of North Adams; a son, Scott Edward Critelli of Dallas; a brother, Ralph Albert Critelli of North Adams; his maternal grandmother, Elena Corrente Bua of North Adams, and two grandchildren, Joseph Castegnaro Jr. of North Adams and Kara I'talia Sage Shaw of Wellington; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Critelli will be conducted Wednesday, July 21, at 1 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, by the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, July 20, from 5 to 8. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire or any charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
