Celia Wojieck, 72
ADAMS, Mass. — Celia Wojieck, 72, of 70 West Mountain Road died Wednesday evening at the North Adams Commons Care Center.
Born in North Adams on April 26, 1932, daughter of George Louis Lord and Lillian Senecal Lord Clark, she attended North Adams schools.
Mrs. Wojieck worked at Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams as a technician for 20 years and then for the former Mammoth Mart in North Adams for five years, retiring in 1984.
She moved to Adams in 1950.
Mrs. Wojieck was a member of the Adams Outdoorsmen and an avid reader.
She was a communicant of the parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas.
She leaves her husband, Stanley Wojieck, whom she married July 21, 1950; a son, Gregory Wojieck of Adams; a daughter, Judith Wojieck of Stephentown, N.Y.; three brothers, Henry Lord of Colorado, Lawrence Lord of Pownal, Vt., and George G. Lord Sr. of North Adams; three sisters, Christine Beleau of Kansas City, Kan., Patricia Harding of Cheshire, and June Gardner of Adams; eight grandchildren,three great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Two sons, Leonard and Ronald Wojieck, and two sisters, Beverly Flagg and Pauline Langlois, are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Wojieck will take place Saturday, Aug. 21, at 9 a.m. from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas' Church in Adams, celebrated by the Rev. David Mato.
Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours will be Friday evening from 5 to 8. Donations in her memory can be made to the Adams Outdoorsmen through the funeral home.
