Silvia Domenichini-Durant, 50

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Silvia Ann Domenichini-Durant, 50, of 46 Marietta St. died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown after a brief illness. Born in North Adams on April 19, 1954, daughter of Peter J. and Mary L. D'Arcangelo Domenichini of North Adams, she was a 1972 graduate of Drury High School and a 1976 graduate of the former North Adams State College, now Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Mrs. Domenichini-Durant had been employed by the city of North Adams for more than 20 years, first as a teacher in the public schools until 1980, then at City Hall, where she worked in the payroll and billing department. She was appointed in 1984 as assistant auditor, a position she maintained until last March, when she became the administrator of the North Adams Retirement Board. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church and a member of Lodge 704 Sons of Italy. She and her husband, Russell William Durant Jr., were married Aug. 2, 1987, in St. Anthony's Church. Besides her husband and parents, she leaves a son, Aaron Peter Durant, at home; two stepdaughters, Carrie Lynn Durant of New York City and Aimee Beth Durant of Hamden, Conn., and a sister, Mary Alice Karam of Belchertown. FUNERAL NOTICE - Services for Mrs. Domenichini-Durant will be Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 12:30 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1:30 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 70 Marshall St., celebrated by the Rev Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Oct. 5, from 4 to 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, any donations in her memory are suggested for the Aaron P. Durant Education Fund through the funeral home.
