Henry F. Simonetti, 79
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Henry Frank Simonetti, 79, of 1100 Mohawk Trail died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at North Adams Regional Hospital after a long illness. He was admitted to the hospital Tuesday.
Born in the Hoosac Tunnel section of Rowe on Feb. 24, 1925, son of Carlo and Maria Superci Simonetti, he attended schools there and in Monroe Bridge and Shelburne Falls.
Mr. Simonetti was employed as a rewinder operator with the former Deerfield Glassine Paper Co. in Monroe Bridge, retiring in 1985 with more than 42 years of service.
He was a communicant of St. Joachim's Church of Readsboro, Vt., and St. Anthony's Church of North Adams.
He was a charter member of the former Monroe Rod and Gun Club and of the Monroe Historical Society. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing.
He and his wife, the former Olga N. Andognini, were married Oct. 3, 1953, in St. Joachim's Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Ann Kaczenski and her husband, Keith, of Montague; a son, Mark Henry Simonetti and his wife, Robbin Lincoln Simonetti, of Clarksburg, and a granddaughter, Sara Lynn Simonetti of Clarksburg.
He was predeceased by his sisters Lena Mowe on Feb. 27, 1998, and Yolanda Tomasini on Feb. 9, 2003.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Simonetti will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 9, at 11 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 68 Marshall St., North Adams, by the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor. Private burial will be in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
